Programs and services especially for children.
  • A summer reading program is held in June for those ages 3 - 13.  The theme for 2016 is "Get in the Game: Read" To register click on the link in the left column labeled Summer Reading Program Registration Form.
  • Story Times for children ages 3 - 5 are held weekly at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesdays from September - May with some exceptions due to holidays.  In this photo the children are enjoying the kitty cat masks that they just completed.These children enjoyed making a kitty cat mask after meeting Sneakers the sea-side cat.

 

  • Tool-Time is an after-school program held for those in grades K - 4 on Wednesdays (when school dismisses early) from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.  approximately 8 times during the school year beginning in October.
    Hot air balloons will add to the aura of "One World, Many Stories", the theme of this year's summer program.  Here one of the classes constructs hot air balloons which will be used to decorate and enhance the library during this year's summer experience.

 

  • A reading loft, complete with submarine, play kitchen, cassette/CD players, head phones, puppets, a puppet theater, toys, puzzles, a children's computer preloaded with educational games appropriate for children ages 2 - 8, and other resources await your child at the Aplington Library!
