Although Stephanie had no prior library experience before joining us in 2014 she is eager to learn and eager to make your library experience an enjoyable one. One of the projects that has kept Stephanie busy since beginning here is mounting the new sign holders that were purchased recently, compliments of the Kruger Grant. As you can see, Stephanie is standing, appropriately, by the “Parenting Tips” sign because she and husband Dan (son of Kenny and Alene Schipper) are expecting the arrival beof a new baby boy in June. So we are excited along with her for baby’s development and arrival. A daughter, Mickella, a sophomore at Aplington-Parkersburg High School, is also part of their family. Attending her activities keeps Stephanie busy. Other activities Stephanie enjoys include spending time with her large family, walking, shopping, and gardening.
Before moving here from Grinnell about 3 months ago, Stephanie worked in the child care field for 15 years. She is already bringing that experience to the children’s programming here at the library by developing “busy bags” for toddlers. Stop by soon to find out about this project and more importantly, to welcome Stephanie to the library and to Aplington.
