Model Cars on Display
Do you have an interest in car shows? Do you enjoy seeing some of the older models of cars? Then you will want to take a look at the library’s display window during the month of September.
Models varying from Model T’s to Studebakers to Chevy’s to foreign made ones are on display thanks to Paul Weber. He has collected many of them over the years. Most of the models were purchased through mail-order catalogues or by purchasing them from friends who also collected them. One of the models on display, a Model T delivery truck, was donated to the AMVETS by Ted Stubbe. The UNI models, a convertible and a pickup, were given to Paul by his wife, Marty, who attended college there. Paul’s personal favorites are the ’56 Chevy, the Studebaker, and the German-made Messerschmitt model. Although Paul has quit collecting models for the time being due to space limitations, he enjoys going to car shows and sharing his collection with us. Thanks, Paul, for bringing another great display to the library!
